Where does it run?
On your own server. Shared hosting, a VPS, or a machine in your office — it needs PHP and a database, nothing more exotic. There is no cloud account and no per-screen subscription.
How fast does an emergency alert actually arrive?
Two to five seconds on shared hosting with no WebSocket, measured rather than estimated. On a server that can run a socket it is under a second.
Can it interrupt a screen that is playing something else?
Yes, on Android — a television showing a news channel from another app will be covered. Android requires one permission for that, granted once per screen, and the panel tells you which screens are missing it rather than leaving you to find out during an emergency. A browser-based player cannot do this on any platform.
What happens when the internet goes down?
Every screen keeps playing from its own storage. Alerts sent during the outage are delivered when the screen comes back, and the server re-sends any content the screen missed.
Do I need new televisions?
No. Any Android TV works as-is; anything with a browser works through the web player; and a set with neither takes an inexpensive Android box on its HDMI port.
How many screens can one server handle?
Twenty-five comfortably on shared hosting with SQLite. Moving to MySQL is four lines of configuration and takes it far beyond that. The load per screen is one small request every few seconds.
Is there a per-screen fee?
No. One licence for the software, on hardware you own. Adding the fiftieth screen costs what the fifth did.
Who can see what?
Five roles, from super administrator to read-only. Access is gated on individual permissions rather than role names, so a content manager can publish without being able to add users or change settings.
