A single APK on any Android television, Fire TV stick, or set-top box. Everything the product can do, it can do here.
This is the only platform where an announcement can cover a *different* application — a set showing a news channel from YouTube will be interrupted. Android requires one permission for that, granted once per screen, and we ship a script that does it across a fleet over the network.
The player runs as a foreground service, comes back after a reboot, and brings itself to the front when an announcement arrives even if somebody left another app open.
Getting a screen running
- 1Open the APK link in the television’s browser, or install over adb
- 2Grant the overlay permission — from the set, or in bulk with the provisioning script
- 3Read the six-character code off the screen and type it into the panel
